Santander (Cantabria)

Santander es la capital de Cantabria, región situada en el norte de España. Hoy en día es una ciudad tranquila y acogedora para el visitante, que puede disfrutar de sus diversas y bonitas playas (El Sardinero, La Magdalena, El camello, y Los Peligros), además de poder recorrer sus calles, paseos y parques. Cuenta con diversos museos, siendo el más visitado el museo marítimo, que cuenta con un acuario de grandes dimensiones. El Palacio de Festivales organiza numerosos conciertos de todos los estilos así como obras teatrales durante todo el año y que atraen a importantes artistas de todos los rincones del mundo. También puedes visitar la península de la Magdalena, donde se encuentra el Palacio de la Magdalena y que fue residencia de verano de la familia real española durante varios años. En la actualidad, este palacio es la sede de la Universidad Internacional Menéndez Pelayo, y que organiza cursos y conferencias de carácter internacional de gran prestigio cada verano. En la península se puede visitar un pequeño zoo en el que habitan animales en un entorno natural y bello.

The Palace of Festivals organizes numerous concerts of all the styles as well as theatrical works and operas all the year round and that attract important artists of all the corners of the world.Also it is possible to visit the Peninsula of the Magdalena, where one finds the palace and that was a summer residence of the Spanish royal family for several years. At present, this palace is the sedate of the International University Menéndez Pelayo, and that organizes courses and conferences of great prestige every summer.
